I have worked in a range of different industries from movies to events and print and digital media. What I enjoy most is learning about the interconnectedness of the people involved in the various projects and finding ways to integrate that into the work. I see digital media as a way to create worlds and forms of communication that breach the gap between real life and imagination. I am most passionate about getting involved in projects, like WAI Wānaka, that allow me to engage creativity to help the planet and the local communities. I am currently working with WAI Wānaka on ways to tell the story of their amazing work within the community to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the Upper Clutha Catchment.

Co CreatorL O O P C A S E Jan 2010 - PresentWanakaWe started off making shoulder and laptop bags as well as camera cases and wallets from recycled materials such as advertising banners, seat belts and bicycle inner tubes. At present we are still making wallets from seat belts and bicycle inner tubes, bags from decommissioned sails (when they become available) and the odd other project that comes along, including screen printing. We also work with Cactus Climbing Equipment on some new and useful things to do with tough canvas :-)

Visual Design Potions MasterStaple Design Ltd Jan 2012 - PresentWānaka, NzI work on a bunch of different projects which have included Chalkydigits catalogue designs, The Wānaka Local Calendar (a community initiative in conjunction with Tidy Design), various business logos and document designs... Graphic Design is a two-edged sword for me. It's a passion for the right project and a conflict of interest when I am being asked to design something that will essentially become an environmental liability. I therefore tend to choose ethically sound or environmentally friendly projects that I believe in and that don't end up in the landfill. I am passionate about reducing waste and re-using existing materials and re-purposing them for new uses.

Comms & Design CoordinatorWai Wānaka May 2020 - Dec 2022Wānaka, Otago, New ZealandI am passionate about all things water. I started working with WAI Wānaka because their mission is to accelerate local action for our fresh water. I was initially hired to find a way to digitally and visually represent the Community Catchment Plan on the WAI Wānaka website. As with most projects for Community organisations this morphed quickly into a need to first look at the way WAI Wānaka's information was represented visually in all forms of print and digital media. Since I've started with WAI I've worked as a part time contractor, looking after the visual representations of WAI information through the website, social media, documents and presentations (where possible). We have come full circle and I am currently working on ways we can showcase the 60 actions that will help us mitigate the negative influences on our stunning waterways to preserve healthy ecosystems and community wellbeing for future generations. One of my favourite parts of the job is to go on-site with the passionate field, education and science crews doing the mahi on the ground and finding ways to showcase all their epic efforts in form of images, digestible snippets of information and short video clips. -
