Merlong Taylor has over 15 years of teaching experience in K-5 schools. I am passionate about enhancing the equity of education and supporting the professional growth of educators. She currently is an Instructional Coach in the Dougherty County School System, working with teachers and administrators to design and implement effective instructional strategies, curriculum, and assessments. She is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in education, and to empower educators and students to reach their full potential. She is also a PhD Candidate at Mercer University, pursuing her degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Her research interests include critical race English education, Black girl literacies, linguistic justice, equitable literacy instructional practices, and mothering scholarly.
