About Meropi Michaleli
I have worked as a Researcher for the INSERM research project (Institut de la Sante et Recherche Medicale), directed by Professor Serge Lebovici, on “the Impact of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) on Families”. Also, I worked as a Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), on issues of prevention and coping with psychological consequences of infant mortality and SIDS on family members. In Greece, I was the Project Coordinator of “Birth and Future”, a project included by the European Regional Council of the World Federation for Mental Health in the directory of projects promoting mental health for children up to 6 years in Europe. I have led numerous training projects for mental health personnel, especially with professionals of the perinatal period. My research and teaching focus on the psychoanalytical approach of the perinatal period and, particularly, the reproductive process, as well as the psychopathology of patients with somatic expression.
