I have extensive experience in all aspects of real estate transactions, including land development and shared property interests, complex title matters and title insurance. I have always been a law geek and have been fairly active in my local and provincial law associations throughout my career. I am the Chair of the CCLA Real Estate Lawyers Committee, a past Real Estate Chair for the Federation of Ontario Law Associations (formerly CDLPA), an active member of the Law Society’s Real Estate Liaison Group, the provincial Working Group on Real Estate and Lawyers, and the CCLA’s Solicitor’s Conference Planning Committee. I am frequently asked to speak to audiences large and small by the Law Society, the OBA, Stewart Title, the CCLA, local law associations, real estate agencies and other professionals.In 2009, I was honoured to receive the CCLA Regional Senior Justice Award and in 2018 was honoured again to receive the CCLA Abe Feinstein Solicitor Award. I am inquisitive by nature and relish the complexity and intellectual challenge of my work with title matters. I also love the collegial aspect of my work, sharing information and working with a team towards a common goal. I love what I do and am sure that I will remain a law geek forever.
