Spearheaded green field rewrite composed of Neo4j, GraphQL, Redux & React. Screened and worked side by side with a variety of off-shore resources to achieve Lifograph's technical goals. Worked with the founder (Dea Wilson) to evaluate code base, existing architecture, and development plans for Lifograph. Legacy stack comprised of a Mongo + Codeigniter backend, with a browser client built with Backbone.js, Bootstrap, jQuery, & Underscore.jsOnce Dea & I's visions joined we became co-founders & I spearheaded a green field rewrite composed of Neo4j, GraphQL, Redux & React. I Screened and worked side by side with a variety of off-shore resources to achieve Lifograph's technical goals.

Worked with clients individually to identify code & database issues, providing best practices recommendations as solutions. Issues included redundant & unoptimized database queries, unnecessary code execution, inadvertent caching bypass, and CMS mis-configuration.

Primarily worked in Drupal development, frontend & backend; though often dove into lower levels of the stack for issue resolution and performance improvements. I worked on a majority of the FreedomWorks sites / services; which were mostly comprised of Varnish, NGINX, Apache, HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, & MySQL.

PHP developer charged with the migration of an existing large scale website from Drupal 5 to Drupal 7. The migration of the MySQL database involved data transformations at both the PHP & MySQL levels. Upon inheriting the project, I was able to refactor the MySQL migration so it would complete several orders of magnitude faster by utilizing select-inserts opposed to loops.

Spearheaded service development from the ground up; built from scratch with PHP & MySQL. Service RESTfully interacts with Netflix's API & Aerialink's SMS gateway. Version controlled with Apache Subversion.

Worked with a team of four other developer interns under the direction Chris Miller and Bennett Roesch. Trained with curriculum adapted from Robert C Martin's Clean Code. The team tested & deployed well formed PHP, JavaScript, XHTML, and CSS to various aspects of the project which was built on Kohana with a Doctrine database abstraction layer.
