Hi there,My name is Merrick. Before finding my passion in IT and Cyber Security, I was a graphic designer with additional experience in warehouse machinery maintenance and forklift operation.Being a freelance graphic designer allowed me to "dip my toes in the water" with higher level technological software such as Adobe photoshop, Illustrator, and others. These programs allowed me to fortify my technological literacy and competency.Later on; working at a warehouse of a smaller business called AlgaeBarn, I learned high level mechanical skills maintaining heavy assembly-line machinery. This is where I found my love for solving technical problems and thinking outside of the box, something that would become a big part of my life in Cyber Security.My current position as a lead designer has allowed me further experience in a professional and technical environment.A bit about me personally:I was born and raised in CO, so naturally I am inclined to outdoor activities such as hiking and camping.I am also a big reader, and I am a lover of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre.
