After working for daily newspapers for more than two decades, I thrive on delivering a message. Long before the era of clickbait links, I believed that compelling headlines and intriguing design could lure the public into caring about the message in a well-written article. Journalism has been a rapidly evolving industry, forced to change because of technology. It was those changes where I am finding my true calling — how can I make that technology work better for both the public consumer and the inhouse user?This digital world offers a banquet of opportunities to build a brand and deliver information — a calculated strategy for keeping a news organization's website updated while also fully utilizing Facebook, newsletters, blogs, and other social media — and I enjoy exploring them. And even the old-fashioned printed page benefits from a punch of out-of-the-box thinking. As a manager, I strive to inspire the disengaged and create opportunities for the disenchanted. I thrive amid creativity and collaboration, so that is what I always work to bring to the table.
