I found my career path at age 14, while doing a report on Leonardo da Vinci. I had always been uncomfortable with the idea of choosing a career, of doing one thing for the rest of my life– I could feel that that was not my only option. So when I met da Vinci, I saw a man who did whatever he wanted– and that, my friends, was exactly what I wanted to do.As part of my report, I had been assigned to create something after the art or science of my report subject. I chose to finish one of da Vinci's inventions, one that lets a man walk on water. Everyone told me to build a prototype– but I was too young to know where to start, and simply continued inventing. Nine months later I saw my project in Discover Magazine– someone with a Ph.D. had beat me to it. It was even yellow, like I wanted it to be. But from that I knew that my idea was good, and I continued to create.The first things were mostly all for fun– inventions, toys, candies, games, etc. Then, a few months later, I wrote my first film treatment. Around the same time I made up a verbal game that later became an internet phenomenon– and then the basis of a famous board game, again without my involvement. I continued my work until I eventually became interested in music, and taught myself to write and perform– filling hundreds of tapes with original compositions.Years went by, and I filled dozens of notepads, hundreds of tapes– and now thousands of digital audio and video files, allowing me to work even faster and more freely.
