Growing up in a family of healthcare professionals, I have always strongly associated the medical field with benevolence, heroism, and discovery. My earliest and fondest memories are those I have with compassionate healthcare workers I am lucky to call my family and friends-- the people who I aspire to honor and emulate as a pre-medical student. I am fortunate to be pursuing this goal at the University of Utah and entering my third year as an Honors student, majoring in Biology and minoring in History. At the University of Utah, I have had several unique opportunities to cultivate my passions for teaching, outreach, and advocacy, in and outside of my major. In my various campus roles, I strive to be a dedicated leader and a knowledgeable resource for all I interact with, from my students to my colleagues. I highly value the collaborative environments where I work-- not only for the skill building I am able to accomplish, but for the lessons I can take away as a pre-medical student.
