Contaminated land, assessment and remediation team- Technical report writing including desktop/preliminary, detailed site investigation and groundwater monitoring event reports- Proposal writing- Data Management- Laboratory result reviews and interpretation - Supervision of contractors (locators, surveyors, drillers etc.) during the construction of boreholes, test pits, concrete coring and installation of groundwater monitoring wells. - Soil, groundwater and surface water monitoring and sampling- Field work team lead and organisation- Field work across a variety of locations including Defence bases, ports, factories, mine sites and petrol stations- Work at sites at various location types (remote, rural, inner-city) and conditions (night works, high temperatures).

From the second year of my degree I was lucky enough to be employed by QUT as a tutor for a 1st year Engineering subjects entitled EGB100: Engineering Sustainability and Professional Practice.It is an introductory unit for all engineering disciplines which provides new students with a wide appreciation of the engineering profession, its achievements and current and future challenges. It introduces students to the concept of sustainability and how sustainability impacts current and future engineering ventures. It also helps develop their professional skills and team work. My responsibilities included weekly presentations and the running of activities with up to 80 students to deepen the understanding of material presented in the lectures as well as marking of student reports and assignments and answering questions on the subjects Facebook page.
