Following work at Spire Hydraulics organising their information systems and processing. I developed a sophisticated database system to manage all their needs and produce real time reports and information regarding job progress and accounts. Following some positive feedback i was encouraged to offer this service to other companies and Merrix was formed. Merrix is my trading name, as i speak to companies and individuals about their information requirements and design and impliment database systems based on that need. These systems allow them to be infomred, efficient and more effective in the way they work. Leading to an improved professional image and higher profitability.

I currently hold the post of secretary of a new Rugby Club based in Creswell. I was approached to participate, assist the initial setup and manage the club. Current projects include working with the Bolsover Council and Creswell Fondation for Sports and Arts to facilitate rugby coaching in the local schools. This will also include after school clubs, development of rugby coaching in the area, and facilitating festivals and events.

I am in charge of maintaining the admin processes within the company. This includes methods of information gathering, managing the office and ensuring all information is collated within the self built computer system.

The Mount Association was founded in 1909. The membership is by subscription and is mainly former pupils of Mount St Mary’s College and Barlborough Hall School. Membership is also open to all parents or guardians of Mountaineers and Old Mountaineers and current and past members of the teaching staff and Governors of the college. The association is not part of the college but is run by elected officers and council members who are all life members. Each year the Associaiton runs re-union and promotional events to publicize itself and its work supporting Old Mountaineers and the school. I am responsible for the formation and organizing of a March Annual Sporting Weekend. At this weekend a rugby and hockey match is arranged between Old Mountaineers, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to meet old acquaintances. I also instigated and arranged a selection of leisure and teamwear for the Association to which i manage the distribution of to our members.

Being a founding member of the Cygnet Bierley Hospital in Bradford, I with a colleague setup and developed a therapy department for hospital. This including developing systems of working, protocols, and stocking the department with required items for interventions. I worked across four mental health wards: Male Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU), Male Complex Needs, Male Open Acute and Female Personality Disorder. My role was to assess and provide intervention based on occupational need to clients based within these wards, with a treatment regeme specific to their needs.I used a variety of interventions including: relaxation, education, health and fitness, play, anxiety management, anger management, social skills training, assertiveness training and healthy lifestyle training.
