Responsible for the people strategy for a UK government arms length body or 5,000 employees, including the delivery of a number of key transformation and organisation design projects during a period of extensive change as the organisation prepared to move to its second funding period (RIS2). Based in Abu Dhabi and London, responsible for HR strategy and implementation in the company’s key growth and margin contribution geographies. Serves as key member of Divisional Leadership team and head of HR Shared Service Centre with dual reporting to Divisional President and Global HR Director. Was brought into the region to overhaul an HR function which was not delivering in terms of recruitment, operations, strategy development and retention. Rapidly overhauled the function to deliver high levels of recruitment, competitive assignment and expat terms, improved mobility and enhanced operational delivery underpinned by a strong ethical and compliance based approach.

Upon formation of Varian, Inc and concurrent acquisition of Chrompack BV, appointed to work with the European Managing Director, to form European & country management teams and organizations. Responsible for organizational development of spun-off business. Worked with interim management to design structure and select European Leadership Team. Implemented new country management teams in 12 European countries.  Secured regional board level representation for HR function and key role in strategic goal setting.
