I help people grow. In delivering more than 10,000 hours of instruction, I have acquired skills to support the learning process. Beyond possessing these skills, I understand how learning works. It is innately personal. When people connect new learning to their personal journey, then the process becomes meaningful for them and they are motivated to learn. In my role as educator and trainer, I strive to make the learning process meaningful. I have experience in the entire learning process: - writing curriculum using the Backward Design model, - developing traditional and online assessments, - creating modules and lessons aligned to clear objectives, - delivering instruction both in-person and online with a host of digital tools, - and collecting/analyzing data to measure growth in my learners and the efficacy of my instruction. Through these experiences I have grown to become a proficient communicator and team leader; I especially thrive on building consensus among team members. I have developed strong verbal communication skills in delivering over 10,000 hours of instruction to students and adults, and strong research and writing skills through two graduate programs. I am creative, analytical, reflective, and data-driven. I love developing processes to ensure quality and efficiency. I am motivated to improve systems and make an impact on others. In addition to my roles in education, I also volunteer as Board Secretary and Treasurer for a non-profit organization. In these roles I have demonstrated my ability to:- Create and store physical and digital records- Write policies and procedures to clearly define roles and expectations- Utilize accounting software to manage a ledger and reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements- Lead annual budget and audit teams- Write monthly and annual reports- Set goals and monitor progressI am proficient in many software applications, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, Learning Management Systems, Student Information Systems, a wide variety of instructional delivery applications, and I have the aptitude to learn new programs quickly.
