Meryl-Mae is a passionate educator dedicated to supporting teachers in designing meaningful learning experiences that empower students to express their unique knowledge, reflect on their growth, and foster a sense of agency. Currently engaged in a statewide equity initiative, 21 CSLA (21st Century School Leadership Academy), Meryl-Mae collaborates with colleagues across California to explore and deepen understandings of transformative learning spaces and their implications for schools. This work fuels ongoing reflection and critical analysis of race, racism, and the intersections of identity, both in society and education.As a justice-minded leader, Meryl-Mae is committed to fostering authentic connections and facilitating courageous conversations that center on equity, inclusion, and social justice. Recognizing the humanity in each individual, she leads with empathy and a focus on creating environments where all voices are valued and heard. Through her work, Meryl-Mae strives to cultivate spaces where both educators and students can thrive, grow, and challenge the status quo in the pursuit of a more just and equitable educational system.
