Providing support, care, love, and education to foster developmental growth to bright young minds is my purpose in life. Through my kind heart, steady patience, and unconditional acceptance, children will feel comfortable and encouraged to learn new things; By modeling appropriate behaviors myself, children will acquire self-awareness skills, correct use of manners, and emotional understanding/coping skills, which will help their self-esteem while learning about respect for others. I have 11 years of experience working with children from infants as young as 6 weeks, to children up to 4th grade. I graduated from the University of Alabama in the fall of 2016 with a BS in Early Childhood Education. While earning my degree I gained extensive knowledge on the subjects of infants, toddlers, as well as young and adolescent children. Also, during the summer of 2016, I interned at UA's CDRC/Children's Program where I worked as a lead and assistant teacher in the toddler room, learned to productivity use Teaching Strategies GOLD, led group time, planned and executed activities such as art, science, math, sensory, and dramatic play, as well as served as the sole communicator to parents in person as well as through newsletters, written information, and social media. I enjoy working with others and sharing insight while learning new methods and ideas. I promise to always enter into a classroom with a smile on my face, a cheerful greeting, and initiative for a positive and productive day. Most importantly, I will assure parents of the children who are in my care that their children will always be given the best education designed specifically for them according to their strengths and weaknesses.
