In the past, Messiah John has worked as a part-time lecturer in Kaduna State University where he assisted in supervising the research thesis of over 50 students pursuing their undergraduate and post-graduate studies in the area of finance, industrial labor relation, and entrepreneurship. He also supervised the entrepreneurship project of over 100 undergraduate students. Messiah has in the last seven (7) years been working as a change agent in communities in Nigeria with various Non- Governmental Organization as a volunteer in addressing poverty-related issues and citizen re-awakening. Messiah holds a Bachelor of Science as well as a Master degree in Economics. He has co-authored 5 research journals with the groundbreaking work which focus on how to reduce unemployment in Nigeria through the informal sector.
