-Creating and tracking purchase orders using SAP-Requesting and reviewing quotations-Verifying invoices-Communicating and solving problems with other functions of the company and suppliers-Checking contractor’s obligations and liability documents-Contributing to supplier master data updates in the supplier portal and SAPDuring my 4 summers at the company, I stood in for 5 different operational purchaser roles during the preparation time for the annual maintenance shutdown at the largest cardboard factory in Finland. At most, I stood in for each of the 5 roles during a single summer flexibly, meticulously and with a service-minded attitude toward all the functions I interacted with. My procurement categories ranged from routine maintenance services and basic tools to research chemicals, valuable and time-critical machine parts, and services from abroad.I learned a great deal about working in a corporate setting e.g. how to structure and prioritize my daily responsibilities, how to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and when to make decisions by myself or ask for guidance. In addition, during my 4th summer at the company, I briefed a new permanent hire for one of the roles in English and provided daily support to another summer intern, commendably according to feedback.

Also, working in this position while studying pushed me to develop my time management skills and productivity.
