Traditionally these producers would turn to OEM’s after sales departments for maintenance-, upgrade- and renewal services. The OEM would support it’s own brand whereas producers needed an overall approach addressing all machines in the production plant. I co-founded Global Offset Services bv to address this specific demand servicing all brands of Offset Presses, like VanDam, Polytype and Omso. Through the years we have upgraded or refurbished hundreds of presses globally. Amongst these were the very successful 560 GOS-COM or 350 GOS-COM, the numbers referring the OEM model and letters referring to our quality trademark. In most cases we have re-engineered parts or systems to better the product-flow, print quality and overhaul efficiency. In 2005 this led to a separate engineering department developing new hardware and software components. New electrical systems were built and programmed, in close cooperation with Siemens and Rockwell using the latest available technology on Industrial Automation.
