I have a strong track record identifying and helping to implement ways to improve corporate governance, operational performance, value for money and quality of service - the 'hard' stuff. I also help organisations improve connectivity of purpose, people and process, concentrating on ways to foster engagement and cooperation - the 'soft' stuff.I have many years' experience evaluating how well publicly-funded organisations, at local, regional, national and international levels, use their resources. I have written or co-authored many published and privately commissioned reports assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of a wide range of programmes, projects and processes. I am particularly interested in how organisations manage change, hone their strategic direction, and refresh their corporate narratives.I am based and operate mainly in the UK, but have worked on projects across the globe. I have degrees from the University of Aberystwyth (History) and the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (Archaeology). A practising Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA), I am trained and experienced in using the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) excellence model.I am also a narrative consultant and performance storyteller. I have performed, led creative workshops and worked on creative projects across the UK.
