I am a proactive and astute healthcare provider who is keen on multidisciplinary approaches that promote good health and wellbeing for individuals and the population at large with a focus on low- and middle-income countries. With over 8 years of experience in healthcare and health profession's education, I have realised that health/healthcare go beyond the walls of health institutions. Therefore, when I am not working, I work (yes, volunteering is work, it's just that it's more fun and unpaid). Through different volunteer positions (Development and Fundraising Officer, Mentor, Project Manager, Advisor) at home and abroad, I have expanded my practice beyond the classroom and clinic. Volunteering has given me unique opportunities to influence varied determinants of health that are interwoven into all facets of life and to alleviate suffering in the communities around me (and beyond).
