Though the company profile for Game Frontier has always been one of delivering services to the international video game industry the scope of what this entails has widened dramatically as time has passed. The role began as organising live and online video gaming events and tournaments has gradually become more of an all encompassing "if it's done on a computer then I'm probably already doing it!" position. This had led to me learning and employing a wide variety of skills to achieve my targets and to better understand client requirements. Some examples of skills I have used include:• Website upgrades, management, maintenance, content creation, SEO, social media and back up management.• Development, customisation and management of many internal / client websites using WordPress/PHP/MySQL/CSS/XHTML• A strong understanding and skilled use of Adobe Creative Suite products especially Photoshop, Dreamweaver and AfterFX.• Creating and publishing interesting, informative and accurate editorial content on a daily basis• Brand creation and management of key products.• Planning, administration and management of events.• Creation and overseeing of projects.• Encouraging user registration and fostering online community growth.In more recent times I have been required to simultaneously fulfil the additional role of IT support and administration for a legal firm the requirements here include:• Creation and management of company websites.• Configuration and implementation of a hosted SharePoint solution / intranet.• Training for users (generally not technology minded) to use all systems to their best potential• To overcome resistance to new working methods and systems through consistent encouragement and explanations of best practices.• General IT management and administration• Providing first line telephone support and solutions for all technologies, usually to users with a less than average understanding of computers in general

Partner in a multi site retail florist business in and around Harrogate. I began working in the family business when I was 16 and spent the next "few years" helping to reinforce Blameys as a by word for quality in the florist sector in the area. As a partner my roles encompassed almost aspect of the business including buying stock, price negotiation, creating and styling floral gift items, order taking, complaints management, in store design, stock rotation, scheduling deliveries, staff management and payroll.The stores were sold in 2007.
