As a senior member of the HR directorate, I am responsible for supporting Heads of Services and Directors with the learning and development requirements that insures successful transformational changes within the service provisions.

Highlights and achievement in post as Training and Development Manager in BHFT from 2004 to 2011; I brought the compliance rate with Statutory and Mandatory training from 11% to 90%. Successful ensured full compliance with NHSLA requirement on a number of assessment occasions. I introduced the Trust to e-learning and have for the last couple of years ensured the Trust appeared on the National NLMS Top 20 list of most e-learning completions thus directly ensuring substantial savings in the Trust training budget. Instrumental in created partnership with 6 Local Authorities, breaking down boundaries and barriers in order to promote inclusive and joint learning opportunities for staff in all partnership sectors.

In 2002-2004 I worked as a Lecturer Practitioner in a joint post with University of West London (former Thames Valley University) and BHFT where I took the Trust lead in delivering the Service Redesign model in partnership with NIMHE into the Trust. Later in the role of Training and Development Manager I also regularly supported NIMHE in delivering the Project Redesign agenda to Trusts in the south of England. Through this period I was a Learning Set Facilitator on the Sainsbury Centre ‘Capable Leadership Programme’.
