In 2006, I founded Mette Designs Inc., driven by my belief in the powerful connection between people and their work environment. I am known for transforming workplaces into inspiring, functional spaces by expertly balancing individual, collaborative, and open versus closed areas, along with thoughtful use of color, materials, and lighting.A notable project includes designing Mozilla’s vibrant 17,000 square foot office, featuring lively hardwood floors, exposed beams, and striking red accents.To further support my clients, I developed The Office Alive Tool Kit, offering services such as Project and Facility Management, Office Space Sourcing, Functionality Analysis, and additional elements like plant services, urban composting, and mindful snacks.As a leader in human-centric design, I continue to innovate, creating dynamic environments that enhance productivity, engagement, and well-being.

Mette spent two years as a senior sales coach for one of the top Danish placement companies working with candidates to enter or re-enter the workforce and that’s where she really began to understand her talent for helping people develop and actualize their visions. SoftAdvice specialized in creating a perfect match between potential candidates and potential companies which led Mette to pursue her growing passion in functional danish design and design of physical environment.

it was while she was working for the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel as a Conference Coordinator and Facilitator, arranging tradeshows, conferences and special events meetings, dinner parties and concerts for large corporations such as Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, Vestas. Events ranged from a small meeting for 2 to a concert for 4,000 people or a tradeshow for 10,000 people. It was here that Mette threw herself into designing every detail of those offerings from the floor plan and flow, branding, décor, furniture, lighting, colours, flowers and candles, and her journey into Human-Centred Design truly began.
