I have been involved in every aspect of the kiteboarding industry for more than twenty years. Starting out my career as a team rider and competitor on the world tour, I have won several national and international events ultimately rising to a world ranking of #7 at my contest peak. Acting as kiteboarding team manager and marketing manager for Naish International, my work focused on brand growth and establishing them as a world leader in the industry. As a member of several development teams, it has been a privilege to lead design and testing for many iconic industry products like the Naish Torch. I am the author of many kiteboarding travel stories, have been the host of kiteboarding tv shows, and a livestream commentator for several different world tour events. All of this eventually led me to start my own board manufacturing brand; Axon Kiteboarding. My vision for the brand has always been simple; manufacture products with quality and soul.Through kiteboarding, I have been lucky enough to visit more than 35 countries both as a competitor and as a spokesperson which gave me the opportunity to ride and work alongside retailers, importers, and opinion leaders to help shape product design and function. I was equally lucky during this time to gain an intimate knowledge of global kite destinations as well as a vast knowledge of manufacturing. This led me to start sister companies to what I was already doing – one of which focuses on organizing and leading kiteboarding adventure events, and the other curating custom quality and unique swag gifts for a wide range of clients. Before dedicating my work full time to creating products and spreading the magic of kiteboarding globally, I graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a BS in Zoology and as a 3-year team captain and 4-year letter winner for the Husky track and field team. Excellence in athletics has been a passion of mine for my entire life.I currently live in Cabarete, Dominican Republic with my wife and two sons. My favorite days are when you find all of us kiting together in the bay in front of our home.
