I’m a dad and I want to have a net-positive effect on the planet. And therefore I work with change leaders to build sustainable corporates that do good and better non-profits that generate more impact towards the Sustainable Development Goals. I'm the founder of MzN, where we work with businesses in the US and Europe to advance sustainable transformation. MzN International also equips NGOs other non-profit organizations by building better their operational structures and strategies and providing funding support services. I'm grateful to work with some amazing and inspiring people and organisations who make the world a little better. But I'm also impatient with waste and inefficiencies – we need better-managed organizations to face an uncertain future. I started out as a Chartered Accountant. But the world of finance was not enough, so I volunteered in humanitarian disasters and development projects on the ground. It was eye-opening. I did a postgrad in international relations and began to research better operating models for non-profit organisations – research that I still carry out to this day with the University of Bristol. I began working with senior government officials and international organisations on institutional reforms and capacity enhancement assignments. Then I worked a lot on the Sustainable Development Goals with the UN, which was again eye-opening. I soon saw a way I could help people in need by bringing together my head for finance and analysis, my corporate leadership and humanitarian experience. My clients often have to focus on helping others, so they don’t have time or the knowledge to put in place good practices that will carry through and make the end result they deliver even better. Today, MzN is a global team working with leading corporates and their leaders towards accelerating the sustainability transformation in operations, supply chain and strategies.
