Working on IL-Tollway Joc project # RR-19-9217, In close coordination with the Contractors, we supervise their construction activities in compliance with plans and specifications. Using e-builder software, we prepare daily activity reports, download activity pictures, review submittals, RFI’s, and other documentation.

I oversee project plans and specifications for upcoming projects, using e builder software for documentation such as submittals, RFI’s, and approvals. I provide constructability reviews and construction inspections for compliance. I deftly adapt plans based on evolving needs, conditions, or issues that may arise and ensure timely, high-quality delivery per the stated project goals. I liaised with Project Managers in the team on various ongoing projects as and when required at the tollway Program Management office. I attend progress meetings to provide status updates and identify and resolve issues.

Resident Engineer /Assistant Resident Engineer and Construction Inspector (Clients: CDOT/DWM, IDOT, Tollway, and Counties) :I spearheaded the construction management team to build green alleys and pavement for the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) and Community Infrastructure Contract (CIC) projects. I orchestrated a team of engineers to execute large & small scale diverse commercial construction projects. I review constructability plans, project specifications, and prepare project plan and schedule daily construction assignments and communicate project procedures. I adroitly observe, evaluate, and measure construction activities for compliance, identify risks if there are any, oversee safety compliance and traffic control, coordinate with surveyors to verify/check grades for compliance, and ensure consistent and high-quality work outputs. I create solutions for potential and arising construction issues to progress projects. I prevent project delays through the successful identification of underground risks (e.g., utility conflicts). I prepare and distribute reports, conduct progress meetings, respond to RFI's & submittals and project documentations to the senior resident engineers & clients, and additional project-related parties. I influenced the Chicago Department of Water Management (CDWM) to alter the green pavement street plan to a traditional concrete/ HMA pavement by identifying and communicating the presence of deep hard slag in the ground. I notified/alerted senior Resident Project Manager about incorrect accelerated tollway highway ramp laid out by the contractor and corrected with the new layout, resulting in time and cost-saving of Approximately $500,000. I was instrumental in increasing the efficiency of daily quantity tracking by developing and instituting a new process.

1. Worked on reconstruction of McFetridge Drive Phase I - IV Contract No. B-4-102, for City of Chicago Department of Transportation.2. Another CDOT Project, of arterial streets resurfacing, work involving storm sewer repair and installations, removed & replaced worn out sub-base, scarifying the asphalt pavement and restore with HMA, landscaping and in the end striping & pavement marking.3. Worked as a field engineer on advance work for contract #3 3-330, at 130th St. at Torrence Ave. major work involved in this Project was relocation of 24 inch, 16 inch, 8 inch diameter of water mains. Auguring Soldier Piles and support steel structures for number of shafts to be used for 40 feet deep underground for connecting water main across the street, and sewer main of 96 inch diameter of RC Pipe thru Auger/Push method. The Shaft was made at 50 ft below the grade to push sewer main of 96" RCP for a length of 1200 feet while the street is being used. Also the light poles and traffic signals were removed/relocated. All the work is documented and helped in closing of the project.

Project(s): Royal Commission Roads and Paving, Project # POM A- 2012As a chief engineer, I lead the work control department. Responsibilities include creating job orders, preparing job order proposals which includes designing, construction drawing and cost estimate, initiate a complete package for construction and present it to the client for approval. Approved package will then be processed the job order for construction, co-ordinate with operations manager and logistics manager to execute the proposed job order. During construction of the project, my work control section staff will ensures the quality of work in accordance to plan and specification.In addition we also work with outside roadway projects on behalf of Royal Commission to guide & coordinate to make sure the compliance of Royal Commission specifications and the quality of work are met. Upon completion of the outside contracts, all Infrastructure works would be inspected and processed for custody on behalf of Royal Commission Roads and Paving Department.
