Marketing Manager
Senior Manager Of Marketplace Operations
Senior Manager Of Professional Services
Graduate Teaching Assistant
During my three years as a graduate teaching assistant at CSU, I was the lead instructor for CO150, College Composition, and E210, Introduction to Creative Writing. My responsibilities included: --Developing original lessons & educational materials as well as carefully curating additional readings and materials--Improving student writing and critical thinking by providing insightful feedback on student writing and through individual student conferences--Adapting face-to-face classroom lecture structure to online interface and remote learning during COVID-19 pandemic
Social Media Marketing Manager, Associate Editor, Editorial Assistant
During my two years at Colorado Review, in addition to copyediting, proofreading, and doing layout and design for our publications, I noticed that we were falling short in terms of our social media presence. While we had a decent following, our engagement was low and we were missing opportunities to represent our brand and promote our offerings online. I took the initiative and pitched the idea to our editor that I take on a new position of social media manager. As social media manager, I achieved the following: --Developed and implemented CR’s first ever strategic digital marketing plan, informed by platform analytics, competitive analysis, and our organization’s revitalized mission statement.--Established best practices and brand standards for each of our social media platforms, including developing communications briefs for each platform.--Created and managed all social media campaigns and content. Significant results include: Facebook: monthly post reach increased by 20-50%; average post engagement nearly quadrupled Instagram: Engagement & reach increase of nearly 200%; more than doubled our followers Twitter: nearly tripled our average post reach--Trained staff in social media best practices and management to ensure continued success. For a bit of a BTS look at my role as social media manager, and why I loved it, read my blog post, "Why a Social Media Cynic Loves Posting as Colorado Review" on Colorado Review's website, linked below.
Literacy Through Prose & Poetry Program Director, Instructor
After a year of teaching with LPP, I knew I wanted to take on the role of Program Director, because I could see how much potential there was to make the program an unmissable opportunity within the MFA, and to extend our reach beyond our current circle of schools and kids. My responsibilities at LPP included:--Managing all project timelines, communications, and funding--Recruiting and training graduate student volunteers --Conducting outreach to both new and existing schools to recruit classrooms for the upcoming year --Increasing program visibility through university communications platforms During my time at LPP, I:--Doubled both the amount of volunteers and classrooms engaging in the program --Brought several new teachers and two new schools to the program, extending our reach --Accelerated our roll-out timeline by a nearly 3-month window --Responded to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis to create individually responsive plans for teachers and adapt to online and remote learning
Marketing Manager
As Marketing Manager, I worked directly under our Marketing Director, managing our in-house team and all outside vendors. I was responsible for the planning, execution, and management of all marketing efforts, maintaining our brand promotions and image, promoting all museum exhibits, events, and educational offerings, and developing donor and membership campaigns. My responsibilities included campaign planning, creative direction, media & ad buy, social media management, digital and print campaigns, public relations, and more. Some accomplishments I’m incredibly proud of: --Revitalizing The DoSeum’s ReDo Recess Adult’s 21+ night through creative digital campaigns and street marketing, starting with ReDo Summer Camp. ReDo Summer Camp itself reached 67,000 people through social, and received a response of over 1300. After that, ReDo ticket sales were increased from 400+ to 700+ per event, an increase of 75%. --Executing the hugely successful 2017 Big Give Donation Campaign--The GOOSeum. At the time, slime was all the rage, and I came up with the idea to have staff slimed as donations met certain marks. We ended up exceeding our donation goal of $10k with nearly $20k in donations, compared to the prior year’s $7k in total donations. --Directing all public relations efforts--creating and executing strategic PR plans, prepping and disseminating all press materials, and managing all press relations for all events and initiatives at The DoSeum. During my time managing all PR efforts, I more than doubled our average monthly coverage. Managing all social media channels, first directly and then through the management of our team. Significant results include: Facebook: 32% average monthly increase in in reach Twitter: 35.8% average monthly increase in impressions Instagram: 42% average monthly increase in impressions
