I am a serial technology entrepreneur who has founded five companies from inception, nurtured them through early developments and seen three of them to exit.As a CEO, my most natural inclination is to lead the sales and product teams towards finding product / market fit, closing initial deals, evolving the product strategy to meet customer needs and prove the market.I have created and managed sales execution models including B2C, B2B and combinations of both including channel and direct selling.I have broad management experience with all other areas of C-level leadership decision making including capital raising, financial modeling, marketing, positioning, legal and corporate governance, HR, customer service and public speaking.I recruit highly functional teams that can execute quickly and think outside of the box. I believe in actively nurturing corporate culture and consider a strong culture to be competitive differentiator.I have raised millions of dollars of capital at all stages and from different types of investors. (seed, institutional and public markets under Reg CF rules), however I believe that limited access to capital creates more focussed and efficient businesses.I am passionate about the entrepreneurial process, and inspired most by growth, success and helping new ideas come to fruition. I consider tenacity to be one of the primary reasons for my success.I was born and raised in South Africa where I studied business and marketing with an economics major. I am a devoted father of three wonderful children and live in Marin, CA. When I am not working I spend time kite boarding, and walking my dogs.
