As a Scientific Data Engineer at Allen Institute for Cell Science, I apply my image processing and machine learning expertise and large-scale data processing skills to support the mission of creating and disseminating new knowledge about cell behavior, organization, and function. I work with a multidisciplinary team of biologists, physicists, and computer scientists to develop and implement algorithms and pipelines for processing, analyzing, and visualizing high-resolution 3D images of live cells.I have been working at Allen Institute since August 2019, after graduating from University of Virginia with a Master of Science (M.S.) in Image Processing (EE) and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Biomedical Engineering. During my studies, I was a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, where I conducted research on object detection and segmentation methods for biomedical images, and assisted in courses on digital image processing. I am proficient in NumPy, Python, and other data science tools, and I enjoy learning new technologies and methods to enhance my data engineering skills. I am passionate about advancing the understanding of cell biology and its applications to human health and disease.
