These folks also build the application experience for core data management, exploration, and visualization tools and UIs.We focus on performance, reliability, and user experience for those who use the product, while also working hard to ensure a great developer experience for those who build the product.We spend time working on the building blocks and components used by other engineering teams to deliver solutions to customers. We create user and developer documentation for the core parts of the Kibana experience.I work with other team & product leads to create objectives & goals to deliver business value, and metrics for how we measure success. The domain teams within Kibana then use these objectives and measures to plan their own work required to achieve desired outcomes.

I started as a Senior Software Engineer with a small company which had been recently bought by Enron. After a short time, I grew into a Lead Engineer on our flagship energy accounting and analysis software product line. After Enron moved the company to Houston, Texas, I became the Director of Engineering, mainly because I was the best choice left for the role.As Director, I oversaw all phases of development lifecycle; from design to development and testing to release. I was responsible for personnel assignments and hiring decisions. I was accountable to upper management for development projects and acted as a liaison between the product development team and various external marketing and sales teams.Worked with C++, SQL, COM, ASP, HTML, JavaScript, XML and Win32 API.
