I’m Matt Fitzgerald, and I'm a relationship builder, listener, leader, coach, decision maker and sometimes a firefighter. I thrive on tackling real-world problems with a passionate team to create valuable solutions. I have launched my own company to revolutionize landscaping through robotics, drawing on my early experience as a landscaping crew lead and my extensive background in robotics.Previously, I held key Product and Strategy leadership roles at top robotics companies, including 6 River Systems, Universal Robots, and Rethink Robotics.• At 6 River Systems, I prioritized and focused our commercial product roadmap, scaled the business from hundreds to thousands of deployed robots, and hired a team of Product Managers. We grew revenue from $18M/year to $65M/year.• At Universal Robots, I established the first Product Management organization, successfully led change and process management to adopt Product Management, and expanded the robot portfolio for unserved market opportunities.• At Rethink Robotics, I launched the world’s first collaborative robot, Baxter, and led the market research for its successor, Sawyer. I was accountable for Product Management, UX, Quality Assurance, Deployment, and Support.I have traveled extensively across Asia, Europe, and North America to deeply understand the diverse needs and cultures of customers, and to synthesize these insights into cohesive and innovative products.In my spare time, my wife and I manage a $3.5M+ real estate rental portfolio, which we acquired independently. We are parents to two children and enjoy coaching these budding all-stars in ice hockey and soccer.
