I am currently in my fourth and final year of tertiary study, doing a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors at the University of Waikato and studying towards a major in Mechanical Engineering. I believe I work well with people and enjoy being part of a team as well as working independently. I am passionate about engineering and using engineering to solve complex problems. My goal is to work in a company that will allow me to engineer solutions to future problems, which will enable me to utilize the knowledge I am presently gaining.

Assistant/General MechanicHenry'S Rod Shop Nov 2020 - Feb 2022Katikati, Bay Of Plenty, New ZealandAs a general assistant I worked for 30 weeks during holidays from University. I was able to get experience in many areas working both with people and individually to solve mechanical problems. While a lot of the work was basic grinding, sanding, wiring, welding, milling etc., I also gained experience locating problems in vehicles as an individual, and having to find solutions, implement, and test them. I also tackled larger projects, such as complex suspension and engine swaps, an airbag suspension install, and brake upgrades. These all required fabrication of custom parts to fit a specific brief. I also gained confidence in the work environment, and greatly improved my people skills.
