We completed several projects in the 2D and 3D CG, and managed to become resellers for Thompson Digital Image (the biggest competitor to Alias Wavefront in 3D CG rendering and animation).I had the chance of writing software for 3D interaction and visualization in C Language on the very first Silicon Graphics Workstation in Italy (Great! - L2B1ST, I like to be the 1st among others! -).One of the most interesting projects I remember is the bid we won for broadcasting the computer graphics for the event "World Championship of Soccer" in 1990, with our titling systems and our computer generated graphic overlay for score and statistics of all the matches. Everyone in the world who viewed the matches was our audience.We were then a small team of only 5 people with competence and highly complementary skills, surrounded by other staff for the external productions, and we did such a great job together.

Mantovani FabioSelf Employed It Consulting Jan 1980 - Oct 1987Milan Area, ItalyStarted working as an IT consultant, and worked as a free lance programmer for a couple of medium companies: Tandy Radio Shack Italia, Compucolor, Computeria (1st PC shop in Milan) - L2B1ST, I like to be the 1st among others! - GBC, Computer Sharing, developing and writing tens of applications, programming in ASM, BASIC, PASCAL and C.Then, in 1983 I started working as the leading consultant for all the major italian companies in Computergraphic in Italy: Techex, VTR and Sisgraph, and their customers.In september 1986 I moved to Rome under a contract for a big project for creating the very 1st Italian CDROM - L2B1ST, I like to be the 1st among others - containing the Einaudi Encyclopedia in a searchable (hypertex) format, along with hundreds of pictures and diagrams to accompanying the text. It was a peculiar poject, because Microsoft did not released CD extensions yet, and we've been obliged to write all our software routines for indexing and accessing data in the CD using track/sector scheme. In addition, we worked for the first time on PC IBM compatible machines with the newest EGA Color Graphics Boards (up to 640x480@16 colours), beating the original IBM that were using CGA (320x200@4 colour). In the meantime I invented the first 16 million to 16 colours palette algorithm (subsequently expanded to 256 colours for more powerful graphics boards).
