TECH role:- Highly grown customer satisfaction, with multiple evidence of appreciation.- Reduced product returns by 60%, solving more issues to customer satisfaction than ever.R&D role:- Helped the General Manager to hire the new key account.- Put focus on specific and advanced products to differentiate our image from "box movers", as perceived by our customers until then.- Visited personally as much customers as possible for build a direct connection and demonstrate BB superior Customer Service. A robust pre and post sales support was peculiar to achieve it.- Convinced most customer to evaluate new products they never bought before. And they kept them in more than 80% of cases.- Recovered 15% of total gross sales from discontinued customer, that started again to buy from BB as a consequence of our actions.- Managed to deal the competition between Milan and Rome offices, where Rome repeatidly lowered their price to attract customers of Milan offices, with deprecation of the gross margin for everyone (after all, we were all employed by BB USA!). Our effort lead to a strong trend change, and from an almost negative trend we were breaking the ceiling of positive results, stopped by de decision of EU Presidency for closing the northern BB offices, in favor of those of Rome.I remember anyway with affection my experience in BB, and consider it of great experience and mind opening.

Because of my broad competence with CDROMs, I joined Peruzzo publishing company to lead the Production Team of their Electronic Encyclopedia on CD, that we delivered in time and budget. After this, I managed to create other CDROMs in various areas and with more multimedia capabilities, like furniture multimedia catalog, medical atlas, etc..I then became the IT manager (CTO) for all the companies of AP Group (ReteA national TV broadcaster, APE publishing company, Shopping Club teleshopping, etc.) and I was involved in all the advanced interesting projects:- Developed the software for telesales, shipping thousand of orders per day.- Created a press review system for broadcasting newspapers clips through the TV TTX channel to PC subscribers, far earlier then Internet (I helped engineers to build the necessary devices to insert binary data into the TTX @ 22 KB/sec). One once again - L2B1ST, I like to be the 1st among others!- Built an IVR system onto one ot the first toll-free lines to do Customer Support and ticketing handling.- Wrote an Electronics Encyclopedia consisting of ten books who sold half million copies- Subsequently derived from the Encyclopedia a Video Course on Electronics in 10 tapes, in which I played the teacher role as well.- Wrote software help divisions to better accomplish their tasks

I joined this little but powerful IT reality in their Computergraphic division. We completed several projects in the 2D and 3D CG, and managed to become resellers for Thompson Digital Image (the biggest competitor to Alias Wavefront in 3D CG rendering and animation).I had the chance of writing software for 3D interaction and visualization in C Language on the very first Silicon Graphics Workstation in Italy (Great! - L2B1ST, I like to be the 1st among others! -).One of the most interesting projects I remember is the bid we won for broadcasting the computer graphics for the event "World Championship of Soccer" in 1990, with our titling systems and our computer generated graphic overlay for score and statistics of all the matches. Everyone in the world who viewed the matches was our audience.We were then a small team of only 5 people with competence and highly complementary skills, surrounded by other staff for the external productions, and we did such a great job together.

Started working as an IT consultant, and worked as a free lance programmer for a couple of medium companies: Tandy Radio Shack Italia, Compucolor, Computeria (1st PC shop in Milan) - L2B1ST, I like to be the 1st among others! - GBC, Computer Sharing, developing and writing tens of applications, programming in ASM, BASIC, PASCAL and C.Then, in 1983 I started working as the leading consultant for all the major italian companies in Computergraphic in Italy: Techex, VTR and Sisgraph, and their customers.In september 1986 I moved to Rome under a contract for a big project for creating the very 1st Italian CDROM - L2B1ST, I like to be the 1st among others - containing the Einaudi Encyclopedia in a searchable (hypertex) format, along with hundreds of pictures and diagrams to accompanying the text. It was a peculiar poject, because Microsoft did not released CD extensions yet, and we've been obliged to write all our software routines for indexing and accessing data in the CD using track/sector scheme. In addition, we worked for the first time on PC IBM compatible machines with the newest EGA Color Graphics Boards (up to 640x480@16 colours), beating the original IBM that were using CGA (320x200@4 colour). In the meantime I invented the first 16 million to 16 colours palette algorithm (subsequently expanded to 256 colours for more powerful graphics boards).
