In this role, I expanded on my knowledge of catering/banquet events. I worked with the catering team to execute a variety of events, ranging from weddings to golf tournaments to large holiday barbecues. This position requires regular communication and collaboration with other food and beverage entities as well as other departments.

In this role, I worked with a team to prepare for and execute Flagstaff Oktoberfest and Flagstaff Blues and Brews. Both of these events were attended by hundreds of people. I helped advertise and promote the event in the weeks leading up to it. During Oktoberfest, I supervised a team of volunteers selling tickets and welcoming every guest that entered the event. During Blues and Brews, I was responsible for the 500-person VIP area; my responsibilities included guest services and area maintenance.

In this role, I was able to gain supervisory experience as well as experience with banquet events. I regularly communicated with the banquet team, Shore Lodge's management team, and guests to ensure successful events. I was also responsible for billing for events and writing up post-event reports.
