👋🏽 Hi, my name is Marie🎓 Graduated with a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Washington (2018)🌇 San Diego Native, with a passion for creating educational content and developing strategies that support learners📚 I began my teaching work during undergraduate studies in San Marcos. There I taught and tutored both English and Japanese as a second language. I spent my time working on small lesson plan curricula and running our branch of Sigma Tau Delta honor society as the Vice President. In graduate school I spent my time developing broader curricula using modern theorists to support my classroom praxis. I was able to put into practice my curriculum and writing skill: publishing one book and earning two conference sessions to present my work. 💻 As for my future, I hope to one day work as a teacher educator or curriculum developer role and work with a diverse team. Either of these positions would allow me to continue teaching and keep up-to-date with educational theory and praxis. 🏔 In my free time, you can find me trying new recipes, karaoking, writing or reading. 💪🏽 Teaching, Public Speaking, Content Creation, Organization, Event Planning, Microsoft Excel/Word, Customer Service.
