Responsible for the IT department budget and management for all areas including infrastructure, security, IT controls/Help Desk, and ERP/EDI support. Led the application and IT system efforts to interface manufacturing and PLC systems to achieve near real-time production reporting and label generation with our ERP system.Implemented Fortigate Fortinets as edge firewalls and setup as our SDWAN fail-over /backup option for the SDWAN infrastructure.Migrated from conventional MPLS circuits to lower cost MIS using SilverPeak SDWAN for savings of over 50% annually and quadrupled the average bandwidth available at all sites.Utilize commercial products SysAid for HelpDesk, ManageEngine products for AD managementand reporting, Solarwinds Orion for network management and monitoring, Nasuni as cloud NAS, Dell/EMCSAN, and Office 365 for the productivity suite.Have moved applications to opensource to reduce costs as the business drive the past two years has been costs containment with as minimal an impact on operations as possible. This means we run an equal mix of Windows and Linux in the environment.Past few years have seen an expansion in the security application roll-outs and configurations. Endpointand Edge security products, but also rollouts of SecureWorks, ManageEngine Log 360 SIEM & VulnerabilityManager products. Currently configuring STIG policy baselines configured for our environment and reconciling our JSOX policies and procedures for IT with the new ISMS policies and procedures.

Enterprise Active Directory activities supporting multiple AD Forests and 20,000 + users.Install and utilize Quest tools Change Auditor for Active Directory, Spotlight on Active Directory and Recovery Manager for Active Directory to support those efforts.Troubleshoot and assist in root cause analysis for application and platform issues that utilize Active Directory but are handled within other groups/departments. Recommend when appropriate changes in system architecture to resolve issues.

Responsibilities included budget and staff management of the companies North American IT operations. This included network infrastructure, application development, ERP systems, security and all things computer related with a team of 21 direct reports across six facilities.Participated in ERP upgrades and implementations across multiple sites (QAD and Mapics). Led efforts to consolidate infrastructure operations across all US locations driven by changes in joint venture relationships and new acquisitions including integrating and replacing systems and software for two newly acquired plants in a period of months while coming in under the estimated budget.Background in business process improvements related to application and ERP projects. Not only management but also hands on involvement across all areas of technology to support help desk, infrastructure, security, storage and virtualization.Implemented IT Controls based on J-SOX requirements. This included revamping and expanding the Change Management System and Help Desk software and processes and tracking and reporting IT projects across all locations. Existing regional IT work instructions and procedural documents for ISO/TS were incorporated into global IT Control documents that served the IT Controls for J-SOX and the ISO/TS Audit requirements.

Direct and assist the efforts of up to 8 people at multiple sites in the areas of Help Desk, Network and Data Management, and the ERP/EDI system.Participated in two QAD Mfg Pro system upgrades and new implementation projects at two company locations. Led efforts to consolidate various EDI VAN setups to one.Installed and managed firewalls and remote access solutions for multiple sites. Implemented SAN technologies and virtual server environments. Worked almost exclusively on embedded controls (Assembly code on Motorola microprocessors) and digital circuit design for capacitive touch circuit design intended for the commercial appliance business, primarily Ceran cooktops. Engineering work start to end from design to test and validation. Routinely went from working on Assembly code to connecting oscilloscopes and volt meters to prototype circuit boards I had designed and physically made.

Worked as a Service Engineer for GM. Revised, created and tested diagnostics for the HVAC, Central Control Module, Passive Keyless Entry, Low Tire Pressure Sensor and Selective Ride control modules for the Chevrolet Corvette.
