I received my BE (Hons) in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Auckland in 2008, during which time I worked with the Embedded Systems Research Group. For my final year research project I collaborated on the modelling and development of a hardware accelerated H.264 video decoder, developing a SystemC model for testing VHDL modules used in the system. From 2009-2010 I was employed by Horizon Survey Company, an offshore surveying contractor in the United Arab Emirates. My roles with the company included Survey Engineer, ROV Pilot and ROV Video Processor. From 2011 to 2015 I completed my PhD at the University of Sydney under the supervision of A/Prof Philip Leong, where my research area was focused on optimization of methods for run-time error detection in computer arithmetic. Currently I am a developer with Quantifi Australia where my role is primarily focused on development areas involving counterparty credit risk.
