As part of Marketing Services SLT led the strategic development and planned execution of €650M Congress and Events spend across 80 countries, 8 procurement categories and 3 business divisions worldwide. Leading both direct and matrix teams to develop and implement category strategies to surpass business needs. Acting as a business partner, facilitating the collaboration between, global and local stakeholders and suppliers. Accountable for global sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier relationship management of strategic global suppliers. Programme managing global implementations of transformation projects, system implementations (Cvent/Veeva/Meetings Cards), a global strategic meeting management programme, global outsourcing, and process efficiency improvements. Increased savings from 2% to 10% across total spend, achieving over 30% in project implementations, increasing the use of eProcurement tools and solutions.

Managed the transformation and standardisation of Bayer’s procurement process within Marketing Services Procurement. Delivered a common savings methodology to the global procurement organisation resulting in greater process & reporting transparency, improved efficiencies and set the foundations of significant change across several procurement categories. Facilitated global category councils, improving communication, promoting knowledge sharing, and accelerating project implementation.

Leverkusen, Germany

Accountable for the global supply chain and purchasing of 14 raw materials with a spend of €350M. Based at Bayer global headquarters in Germany, line managed a local team of direct reports and provided leadership to a wider team of global sourcing professionals. Responsible for global strategy, logistic, and operational procurement. Renegotiated 6 essential contracts 4m after taking the position to achieve over €6m savings, and removed several single-source products, delivering a further €15m annual savings. Led the annual budgeting process for production and marketing. Developed and implemented a global strategy training programme for 200+ procurement professionals.

Cologne Area, Germany

Based at Bayer headquarters in Germany, established a new organisation to improve communication of procurement with business stakeholders, manage cross-category projects such as ERP solutions, eSourcing/ePayment, payment term reduction, a contract management IT tool, supply chain financing solutions etc.

Managed several blue chip global accounts in the medical device, automotive and electronics industry. Responsible for product distribution, client contract agreements, inventory management and strategy.
