I have over 25 years experience, in the UK and internationally, working on a wide range of multi-disciplinary water sector projects. As well as providing hydrology, water resources and related climate change expertise to environmental, engineering and water supply projects, I have proven technical leadership and have provided key review inputs to a number of significant infrastructure projects.I am currently contributing to a variety of projects in the UK (including options development for regional and water company water resources planning, assessing non-PWS needs to support regional water resources planning and exploring opportunities to develop a major new waterway in England), in the EU (overseeing LIFE evaluations) and internationally (including Lesotho).I also currently sit on the CIWEM Metropolitan Branch Committee and on the CIRIA Water Advisory Group.From 2014 to 2016 I was Key Expert on the European Investment Bank funded Resource Efficiency Programme for the Seychelles Water Sector, leading the drought risk management component. From 2011 to 2015 I was Team Leader of the Global Support Facility (SF) to the EC managed Global Climate Change Alliance (GCCA) initiative. The aims of the GCCA are to foster political, policy and technical dialogue between the EU and Less Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS). I was responsible for the overall technical leadership on this Euro 6M contract, assisting the EC in the achievement of these aims through supporting delivery of a range of activities (conferences, training events, programme formulation and communication and knowledge management). During my career to date I have been resident working on projects in the Bahrain, USA, China, Jamaica and Seychelles, as well as visiting other countries professionally such as Bulgaria, India, Malaysia, Portugal and Spain.
