Additionally, responsible for constructing expression vectors, clone selection, and establishing laboratory-scale fermentation systems. Developed a purification procedure to isolate recombinant molecules from culture supernatant. Successfully scaled up processes from a preparative scale to 10 liters. Within the context of the Chagas study, the primary goal was to gain a profound understanding of transmission cycles across diverse ecological settings. The project placed its emphasis on the molecular genetics of parasites, particularly Trypanosoma cruzi and Trypanosoma rangeli, while also examining the role of mammalian hosts in connecting these transmission cycles. In particular, I applied geometric morphometry and molecular analyses to distinguish Triatomine populations, with a specific emphasis on R. ecuadoriensis and T. dimidiata.
