I am an atomic and molecular physicist with a passion for connecting space science and atomic physics to unlock new possibilities in space exploration and earthly applications. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at Khalifa University, where my research focuses on the intricate processes governing planetary atmospheres and cold plasmas. My work ranges from studying non-thermal processes in the atmospheres of Mars, Venus, icy moons, and exoplanets to developing cutting-edge technologies for in situ resource utilization (ISRU) on the Moon and Mars, as well as CO2 removal on Earth. I collaborate with science teams of space missions dedicated to planetary exploration, including NASA's MAVEN and the Emirates Mars Mission. My group is also at the forefront of innovating methods for converting greenhouse gases into valuable resources, contributing to future space settlements and climate change mitigation on Earth.Beyond the lab, I am deeply committed to the future of humanity in space. My involvement with the United Nations' Space Generation Advisory Council during my student days fueled my belief in the need for strong global collaboration in space endeavors.
