He also was the Head of the Public-Private Partnerships Division within the Social Development Ministry of Chile, where his main tasks included the implementation of the Technical Secretariat of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the Country, the design of the first Social Impact Investment mechanisms in the government, and the continuous evaluation of more than 300 (per year) NGO's projects for Philanthropic and Funds assets allocation.After his graduate studies at MIT, Mr. Garcia acted as an Assistant Professor in Management and Deputy Director of Online Learning at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and as Deputy Director at Hogar de Cristo, one of the biggest NGO in the Latin America Region.Prior to his graduate studies at MIT, Mr. Garcia worked for +8 years in different areas of Bechtel Corporation, including experience in Business Development, Prime Contracts Management and Procurement and Contracts functions. Before leaving Bechtel, Mr. Garcia acted as a Business Development Manager in the Strategy and Marketing Department, where his main function was to evaluate the risks associated with new business opportunities, as well as to align the internal resources in order to fit the market trends. Mr. Garcia led the proposal preparation process, including multi billion dollar EPC/CM projects.
