I am the Cigna Specialty Pharmacy Finance Lead. I manage a team to project the quarterly monthly earnings for the Specialty Pharmacy and analyze drivers of variance to projection on a monthly basis. I build models to create additional insights to help drive business decisions around drug preferencing, pharmacy channel, drivers of trend, and other aspects of the business. I also manage the financial modeling for our formulary strategy to help drive to the maximum affordability for our customers while meeting all of their clinical needs.

I am a Market Pricing Lead for our Commercial Health Segment, analyzing market level results to develop strategies for profitable growth. I work closely with our sales, underwriting, medical economics, contracting, and other market teams to develop next-generation solutions. I determine market-level pricing for our product suite, set medical trend expectations, and determine our position relative to our competitors. I analyze competitive gaps in the market and pilot new initiatives to drive increased sales. I also maintain relationships with various market partners to act as a liaison between them and the corporate pricing organization.Prior roles in Group Insurance Reserving (Disability, Life, Accident, and Specialty products) involved intensive data modeling. I performed extensive reviews of a $5B+ block of reserves for appropriateness and adequacy. This led to the enhancement of valuation methodologies and the development of new reserving methodologies to drive financial results. I also reconciled the quarterly balance sheet while reporting on key drivers of financial results to various business partners. I performed cash flow testing of our assets and liabilities under various interest rate scenarios, modeled reinsurance treaties, created projections for capital planning, and conducted portfolio segmentation analyses of our assets and liabilities. From my various pricing, reserving, and risk management roles, I have used Prophet and Axis modeling software and have extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, VBA and SQL.
