Serving as SVP/CIO at Bowdoin College, one of the country’s oldest and most well regarded liberal arts colleges. Reporting to the president and as a member of the President’s Senior Staff, the SVP/CIO facilitates all aspects of information technology strategy, fosters innovation, and guides the institution to discover new ways to use technology to support its mission. The CAUDIT Leadership Institute (CLI) is a dynamic, immersive program designed to enhance the leadership skills of Australian and New Zealand University information professionals. The program has been developed for information technology, information resources and eResearch managers within higher education who aspire to senior leadership positions, and who have had several years of management experience.Members of the CAUDIT Leadership Institute faculty are senior information technology and information resources professionals in higher education, drawn from Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. The Institute has been offered annually since 1998.

The Leadership Institute is designed to broaden perspectives and develop extensive leadership abilities, enabling CIOs, CISOs and experienced senior IT leaders to assume greater leadership roles within their institutions. The goals of the institute are to enhance grounding in the overall context in which IT leadership takes place in higher education, develop an understanding of the style and context in which decisions are made, and enhance awareness of the need for strong communication, partnership building, and organizational skills.

Lead Vassar's Information Technology (IT) strategy and operations and is responsible for academic computing, technical infrastructure, faculty and staff support, student computing resources, and administrative information systems. - Initiated an intentional organizational culture program to increase collaboration and innovation by addressing issues such as trust and transparency. This multi-year effort included facilitated workshops, organization-wide engagements, and small group experiences.- Led the adoption of new approaches to better serve the college community including Project Management methodologies and IT Service Management principles.- Successfully led migration from Ellucian Banner ERP to Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Finance, with the new systems live as of March and July 2017 respectively. Negotiated a relationship with Workday to contribute to the development of Workday Student and position the college to consider it as a possible successor to Banner Student.- Led CIS to successfully receive $633,000 in 2014 through two Campus Cyberinfrastructure: Infrastructure, Innovation Engineering (CC*IIE) grants from the National Science Foundation. - Implemented a Cloud 1st strategy to increase organizational agility and responsiveness by decreasing dependence on internal hardware, development and implementation resources. - Negotiated partnerships through the New York State High Performance Computing Consortium (HPC2) and membership in the NSF-funded Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) to provide significantly greater computational resources for research and teaching than are available through campus resources.

The EDUCAUSE Management Program focuses on developing participants' organizational management skills, particularly those related to managing one's interactions on campus and to working collaboratively with other people. It provides a foundation of skills and awareness that are essential to the successful motivation and deployment of people. The intensive program engages participants in active sessions throughout the day and into the evening. The program offers an invaluable opportunity to share information and experiences with peers and seasoned IT managers from campuses across the country.http://www.educause.edu/events/management-program

Develops strategy for and directs the operations of the University's central Information Technology operations. Areas of responsibility include research computing, faculty and staff support, student computing resources, technical infrastructure, and enterprise information systems.

• Director of the Tailored Technology Research Group (TTRG) leading efforts to identify and address the technology needs of the Institute for Science Learning. • Design and implement policies and procedures for IT procurement, deployment, security, support, and maintenance. • Design and implement training schedule for customer programs across eight university partnership and collaborative high school network. • Design and implement policies for support requests and resolution. • Project manager for selected external IT projects.
