In every job?In a job interview at BEKO Software back then, the HR managers really fancied me because I came from a music background and had IT skills. I was also cheap because I was a student. I didn't take the job.Not because it wouldn't have supported my young family. No, because I didn't feel understood. I'm a dragon slayer at heart. When I go out, I follow a big goal. An unattainable goal. And I achieve it. Even if with my last breath. In one last stand.Delivering quality at all costs. Only a few people understand that. And because nobody wants the luxury, you set a different course for your future. And in doing so, you sacrifice some things, but gain freedom.(Subtext: This is not an introduction to the much-cited shortage of skilled labour. But I think there is a hidden core here. It's just that owners prefer to stay out of the quality discussion. They prefer to invest in an ISO certificate. In return, they sell the corporate culture and are surprised that the margin is getting smaller and smaller...)

Vienna and music. Those who studied there in the 1980s were usually more concerned with succeeding as musicians than working on their exams for their teaching degree. In any case, this gave me a broad basic musical education. First in the chorus with mega conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Claudio Abbado, Michael Gielen, Zubin Metha and others.Later, as an ensemble singer, the air became thinner. And every now and then a 'Wurzen' fell off, the third Familigliari in L'incoronazione di Poppea, Orlofsky in a version of Die Fledermaus that was supposedly adapted for the World Exhibition in Lisbon in ‘98... Never mind. It wasn't enough for the big breakthrough after all, so the long-suffering artist, now a father of two, had to turn to his well-rounded security studies in computer science and his flawed (in the words of El Duderino) analytical skills (see consultant/developer). And then you get older and every now and then you get to take part in a production. Is that fun? But hello! ;-)

It all began in 1971 when my father set up his own business as a planning master builder. Of course, I didn't actively notice much of that. But children don't become like their parents because they tell them what to do and what not to do all day long. The non-verbal programme settles in and then, as Heimito von Doderer so aptly put it, the content of this programme ‘trickles down to us throughout our lives, no matter how we change our clothes or costumes’.It then became more concrete in the co-design of my brother's wilderness school.
