Provided project management, requirements gathering, system design and production support for multiple applications at AARP. Projects included Performance Management, Accounts Payable, Ethics and Compliance, and Cardholder Workflow. Each system was built on Staffware Workflow with Gauss as the DMS and an Oracle database. Kofax was used as the scanning package for Accounts Payable.Lead weekly meetings for application groups to discuss existing and upcoming changes as well as gather requirements for re-designs.Installed Kofax 7.5 and then Kofax 8 and eventually moved Kofax 8 to a different server. Also made code changes for Kofax forms to enable the forms to retrieve data based on purchase order numbers or vendor numbers which improved the speed of indexing invoices.Worked with developers to explain requirements and manage timelines. Performed system admin duties such as setting up new users, moving cases, setting up permissions, researching issues, and running requested one time reports using SQL.

Worked on project to create a system to track expenses and payment of expert witnesses for the Tennessee court system using VB.NET. Data was pulled from an Oracle 8 database.Maintained and modified customer facing web site that was hosted externally on a Windows 2000 server.Maintained and upgraded internal network including installing and setting up a Cisco firewall.

Worked on project to build Monthly, Daily, Beginning of year and Summer School XML student reports which were to be sent to the state using ASP.NET and VB.net. Data was pulled from a MS SQL 2000 server.Debugged and fixed current version of VB6 product. This product is a management tool for school systems including payroll and other administrative functions.Debugged and fixed ASP based web version of the VB6 product. This product incorporated COM objects that we did not have the current source for. My primary role was to work around these limitations without removing the COM objects.

Worked on a team of 3 developers responsible for full life cycle development of website portal (www.myattws.com) to provide customer access to online services such as phone icons and ringtones, online bill payment and other wireless services. Customer access via one username and password. Used ASP, COM, ADO, ODBC, SQL Server 2000, and Visual Basic 6.0. Portal was used by over 200,000 wireless customers.Designed internal application for Customer Care Center, which allowed helpdesk to access customer’s online account and track the problem using Visual Basic 6.0.Created SOAP interface for passing customer information from home office via XML into portal database.Maintained and supported 4 web sites load balanced over 4 web servers. Maintained and supported 2 additional SQL 2000 servers. Maintained and supported several development boxes using MS Windows 200 Advanced Server as operating system.Created in-house reporting tools using Visual Basic 6.0, ASP, Excel and SQL Server for the financial department that allowed them to pull inventory reports for revenue and non-revenue products.Studied ASP.NET and VB.NET during downtime for continuing education.

Using Visual Basic 6.0, ASP, ADO, ODBC, Javascript, SQL and COM created shopping cart for www.forestry-suppliers.com. Developed an international B2B E-Commerce site which brought a 9000+ color catalog to the web that interfaced with an AS/400. This site also featured catalog requests and the ability to let previous users order products through a simplified process.Gathered requirements during initial talks with clients such as SunCom, Stewart C. Irby and Viking Range and proposed solutions based on those requirements after review.Using Visual Basic 6.0, ASP, ADO, ODBC, JavaScript, and SQL designed and created a company intranet that merged all of our skill sets. The intranet was hosed on two Windows NT boxes and one Linux box. There were 2 database servers, MySql and SQL 7.0 as well as a Lotus Notes server. The intranet seamlessly passed the users between PHP, ASP and Lotus Notes pages.Worked on multiple projects as Lead Developer.Began discussions to bring about a formal training plan for entry level developers.Provided time estimates to project manager for projects other than my own.
