In general, the subject of my work centers on themes of friendship, adventure, feminism and the occult. My ongoing comic book series, Adventuring Princesses subverts traditional gender stereotypes in fairytale and fantasy literature for an all ages audience. Additionally, I encourage readers to utilize the white space of my page to color and therefore personalize the narrative.Another ongoing project, the Apothecary of Esoteric Panacea (AEP), is an interactive installation that provides participants with crowd-sourced healing through the use of recycled containers and custom labels. The AEP seeks to address the growing physical disconnect between community members and our ability to provide each other support and relief from psychosocial ailments.Outside of visual art, I am an active community arts organizer. Currently, I am affiliated with Steer Queer Literary Arts Zine, the Pittsburgh Zine Fair, and am pursuing programming for the indie comics community. I have previously organized events for the Monalloh Foundry which incorporated local musicians and artists around thematic showcases. Show less
