Iran Khodro (formerly Iran National Mfg.) is the largest car manufacturer in Iran producing over 500,000 vehicles per year.Worked in the Die Design and Manufacturing department responsible for building tools and defining processes required for body parts manufacturing.Designed sheet metal fabrication processes including deep drawing, cutting and drilling, flanging, sizing and restrike stages.Designed and built dies, jigs and fixtures, and assemblies for multi stage sheet metal forming processes. In charge of producing BOM (Bill of Materials) for such processes.Managed a team of 3 to 5 CAD/CAM engineers involved in drafting and designing of die assemblies and CNC milling operations. Conducted verification and acceptance of designs and CNC machining programs.Supervised a large project to transform "Double Action" deep drawing operations to "Single Action". Improved CPM (Cycles Per Minute) of press operations by 8% to 12%. This allowed flexibility in choosing production lines considering line maintenance and production priorities.Supervised a project for sheet metal stock optimization by 5%. Utilized FEA analysis software to define variable sheet metal tension parameters depending on stock used from different suppliers.
