This system was implemented using Spring, Hibernate and CXF frameworks to deliver a MVC approach that allows for easily maintained business logic. This project was developed on time via a small team using agile methodologies.Developed SOAP based web service which accepted XML files and transformed them into csv files using XSLT. These files were intended for processing by an already existing process.Performed remediation of applications for PCI compliance. This included addressing many different security issues across several different applications. Utilized IBM Rational AppScan for identifying issues and to manage remediation activities.Built and deployed a clustered IBM WebSphere Network Deployment system running atop VM Ware. Designed and implemented an IBM HATS combined with a Struts framework, solution that provided PBD with a web based order entry system used by their call center as well as their client's call centers. This application makes their JD Edwards ERP easy to adapt to client requests for front end functionality and an improved UI that is much easier to train customer service representatives on.Key member in achieving PBD's PCI DSS level one certification. My efforts included designing and implementing a software and network based solution for the secure transmission of credit card data while limiting the scope of impact to existing systems; greatly reducing continued maintenance of these systems for changing PCI requirements and audits. Responsible for managing and maintaining a clustered WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment environment that hosts over 20 applications and runs at over a 99% up-time availability.Designed and developed PBD's Email transformation service that accepts XML data feeds from their JD Edwards ERP system and constructs and delivers emails to end users. This service allows for rich content emails as well as flexibility to alter content based on selection criteria, allowing for marketing targeted emails.Integrated several third party web services into PBD's JD Edwards ERP system, including real time tracking information from FedEx and USPS.Developed and maintained over 20 web based applications. The majority of these are web stores that fully integrate with PBD's back end systems.Oversaw the final stages of development and continued maintenance of PBD's web services offering. Built SITA their next generation airfare quotation and itinerary pricing service. The service is used by airlines and their respective travel agencies to price individual flight itineraries, including mileage calculation, excess baggage charges, currency conversion, and published fare displays.Constructed an internal systems control and monitoring application based on a Java Struts framework.Led team responsible for providing customized and extended versions of online air, car and hotel booking engine, iTravelDirect. Mentored engineers on the team while managing them throughout the project.Customized and delivered an online flight reservation system for Harmony Airways. This project involved both a consumer and travel agent front end built on J2EE technologies.Integrated logistics-oriented software packages, one example being Transaxiom's AxsFreight system.Designed and developed Java-based message switches to handle translation to and from EDI, XML and proprietary message formats.

Developed servlet based front end for a safety information management system, which communicates with an MVS/CICS back end via an XML interface. This included a dynamic servlet generation mechanism allowing for quick deployment of new servlets. - Outweb, Inc.Architected a J2EE based solution for Extendea's iFleet software, converting it from a traditional client/server platform to a web based ASP model.

Designed and developed the CarrierPoint Web Dispatch system, a real-time marketplace product utilizing JSP & EJB technologies on a BEA WebLogic & Oracle 8i platform. This product allowed shippers and carriers to conduct their contract business directly over the Web, while retaining control over their business processes.Created and implemented an asynchronous JMS based messaging system for use in performing time-triggered events.Developed an XML based interface for CarrierPoint's web services to allow for the easy development and integration of third party applications such as MQ Series.

Designed and developed a JNI & RMI-based interface layer for the handling of requests from servlets to a native, proprietary server application. The interface layer enabled the development of a web-based GUI for the client portion of the system.Built and employed an observer/observable module for the asynchronous handling of application messages within a complex, C++ based payment-processing system.Designed & developed an aggregate account model system for use in defining complex account models for a credit card payment system.

Developed multi-threaded message access server prototype, which retrieved client messages from multiple different message stores, using Java.
