About Mehdi Ghobadi , Phd., Mba

I am a research officer at the Construction Research Centre of the National Research Council Canada (NRC). I hold a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering, and an MBA, with 17 years of progressive experience in experimental design, project management, building decarbonization, thermofluidics, and building science research. I have published over 35 scientific, peer-reviewed papers and numerous client reports and proposals. I have been involved in the Standing Committee for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (SCEEB) which provides inputs to the Canadian Commissions on Building and Fires Codes (CCBFC) since 2018. I am also an active member/executive member of ASHRAE Technical Committee (TC) 4.4, Building Materials and Building Envelope Performance, TC 1.12, Moisture Management in Buildings, and Standing Standard Project Committee (SSPC) 160, Criteria for moisture-control design analysis in buildings. I am currently the team lead of the Construction LCA team at the Construction Research Centre. I am self-motivated, disciplined, confident with excellent communication skills, responsible about my profession, creative and enjoy coordinating the tasks in the system. I am decisive, able to work under work pressure, and can handle stressful situations. My ultimate goal is to maximize the team's efficiency to accomplish the tasks flawlessly. I am always eager to take on new challenges and look to increase my professional potential to include myself among the best in my position. Progression is a continuous procedure. Therefore, I like working in a cooperative working environment.
